Weather
Temperatures in Southern California are typically quite pleasant at this time of year. Daytime highs tend to range in the 60s to 70s. Evening temperatures may dip down into the 50s.
What to Pack/What is the dress code for the New Year’s Eve party?
Packing for the Rose Parade tour requires a certain amount of flexibility. Dress should be comfortable and include at least one pair of walking shoes. Due to changeable weather conditions, we recommend dressing in layers for versatility. Evening restaurants and activities range from classy casual to informal along the way. On New Year’s Eve you will attend a Gala event including hats, party favors, and music, music, music. Business casual or cocktail attire is suggested for this evening. A light jacket or raincoat, umbrella, hat and sunscreen are also recommended.
What time do we depart the hotel on January 1 to go to the Rose Parade?
The breakfast buffet begins at 4:30 am and the coaches depart the hotel at 6:00 am.
What do you recommend for gratuities?
We feel that gratuities should be a personal expression of satisfaction and gratitude. If you are happy with the service you receive, we recommend $7 to $10 per person, per day for tour directors and the coach driver.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa.
What if it rains at the parade?
The parade will go on rain or shine. Please note that umbrellas are not allowed in the grandstands, but we will provide rain ponchos if necessary.
Is this tour handicap accessible?
Yes, it is! We can request a handicap room. We also have wheelchair seating at the parade as well as wheelchair rentals at the hotel. The wheelchair rentals are $25 per day or $80 for the entire week. It is a first-come, first-serve reservation for all wheelchairs. If you need to have a wheelchair lift for the bus, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements.

Current Covid Mandates
Currently California no longer requires masks to be worn at all times indoors or outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. In accordance with the Los Angeles County and Orange County Department of Public Health, they strongly recommend that all visitors continue wearing masks while indoors and ask that individual choices are respected.
